Born in London in 1973, lives and works in Glasgow.

The world of Marvin Gaye Chetwynd is occupied by fantastical characters that seem to come out of a carnival with their almost frightening nature, sometimes grotesque but always humorous.
Vision Verticale by Marvin Gaye Chetwynd is a commission from the CNES (National Center for Space Research)  as part of the Nouveaux Commanditaires/New Patrons program initiated by the Fondation de France. This project allows citizens, groups, associations or communities to commission an  artist to create a new artwork.
The film is shown in the same room where it was made. Indeed, one can see a piece of the scenery. In this film, as in all the works by the artist, the scenery and the performance of the actors seems voluntarily amateurish, made out of bits and pieces, almost grotesque against the background of the artworks usually encountered in an art space. To make this film, the artist has worked with students from the National School of Fine Arts in Nice.
